The Board's Role in College Accreditation
Dr. Christine Manion
Vice President, Institutional Effectiveness, Milwaukee Area Technical College.
Higher Learning Commission's Peer Corp and Institutional Actions Council.
Dr. Christine Manion will join us to share her vast knowledge and experience coordinating accreditation at MATC and as a member of the Higher Learning Commission's Peer Corp and Institutional Actions Council.
During this engaging and interactive session, we will explore the role and responsibilities of the college board during the accreditation process.
As Vice President, Institutional Effectiveness at MATC, Dr. Manion oversees accreditation, districtwide student success initiatives, grants, institutional research, strategic planning, student learning assessment, and quality improvement processes.
As a member of the Institutional Actions Council (IAC), Dr. Manion's role is to evaluate and take action on accreditation recommendations from peer review teams that review institutions' compliance with HLC's Criteria for Accreditation and other HLC requirements.
